Jimmy Young is
an R&B / Soul /Pop singer - songwriter who has the distinction of
sharing the same stage with such greats as , The Temptations, The
O'Jays, Ben E. King, The Stylistics and Sam Moore to name a few.
In the 80's he
was introduced to Rock & Roll hall of fame inductee producer
and arranger Bob Gallo by his friend and mentor Ben E. King
(Stand By Me).
While working at
CBS and Atlantic Records in the 60's, 70's and 80's Bob Gallo has
produced such greats as James Brown, Patti LaBelle, Ben E. King, The
Nylons, Solomon Burke and The Young Rascals to name a few.
Jimmy and Bob
began working as a team in the late 80's writing and recording, and in
1988 Jimmy signed with Freedom Records.
Freedom Records
released the cover of Bad Company's "Cant Get Enough Of Your
Love" which was charted #20 nationwide, with the success of that
record the next two years Jimmy Young had 3 singles charted,
"Love Sweet Love", "Two Lovers" and
"Supernatural Thing".
Supernatural
Thing became a dance hall and club "FAV" in Europe, USA and
Canada, Jimmy's busy schedule included making several appearances on
Much Music's "Electric Circus" which is televised nationally
in Canada.
In 2001 Jimmy
Young was signed by US Independent Label Lost Gold Records, Lost
Gold released "Heartbreaker" an 18 track CD of
original material written by Jimmy Young and Bob Gallo, within months
of his US release Falcon Records of Germany signed Jimmy to to a
distribution and promotion deal for Europe.
